On November 17, Horta da Terra received an invitation from SEDAP (Secretariat of the State of Pará – https://www.sedap.pa.gov.br/) to host a visit from the Association of Farmers from the Island of Martinique, a village in Central America considered an extraterritorial territory of France.
The delegation came with the aim of exploring sustainable agriculture models, and it was with great pleasure and satisfaction that we welcomed them for a day of immersion and learning about the syntropic organic agriculture practiced in the Amazon.
After an enriching journey, we were honored during a closing cocktail as a gesture of appreciation for the hospitality and knowledge exchange during the visit. During this moment, we had the opportunity to share details of our syntropic and regenerative agriculture model, highlighting the innovative practices that contribute to environmental and social sustainability in our region. It was a rewarding experience to share our methods and learn from the perspectives of the Association of Farmers from the Island of Martinique.
